Condition: An original poster in very good condition. With some small tears and slight signs of use, but only marginal and not noticeable. Sheet 1 and 2 have a vertical fold along the gluing edge (presumably the poster had once been framed). Otherwise, however, no noteworthy damage or at most slight signs of use commensurate with age, such as slight folds, tears or bubbles. No paper loss. Not mounted.
Notes: Vladimir Sachkov (*1928) graduated from the Penza Art College (1948) and then from the Moscow State Art Institute. V. I. Surikov (1954). In the late 50s and 60s he worked mainly on film posters. Later he began to work on social and political posters and collaborated with the publishing house “Plakat”. Many of his works were awarded with diplomas, prizes, medals and other awards. Sachkov’s artworks are represented in many Russian museums and private collections.
