A very nice edition of the ‘Oevres’, containing the following works: Voyage autour de ma chambre, Expédition nocturne autour de ma chambre, Le Lépreux de la cité d’Aoste, Les Prisonniers du Caucase, La Jeune Sibérienne. With a note and annotations by Eugene Réaume.

Description: Half brown morocco over marbled boards, spine with 5 raised bands, lettered directly in gilt. Sextodecimo: 16 × 10 cm; [4]ll., 338pp., [1]l. Illustrated with a frontispiece-portrait of Maistre, engraved by Ch. Coultry, decorated with numerous initials and some headpieces and endpieces.
