Notes: Severo Pozzati (1895–1983), also known under the pseudonym Sepo, was an Italian graphic designer, painter and sculptor. He is considered one of the most important poster designers of the first half of the 20th century. During his time in Paris, he created some of the most famous posters of his career, in particular the posters for Noveltex evening shirts, for Motta-Panettone or for the French distiller Gaétan Picon.
The date of publication of the poster is unknown. However, the Centro Studi e Archivio della Communicazione in Parma has a sketch of the image in its archives, dated 1925. It was also at this time that Sepo began to work for the Publivox advertising agency in Geneva.
