Liber I–XIV and ‘De Spectaculis’. The works of Martial became highly valued on their discovery by the Renaissance, whose writers often saw them as sharing an eye for the urban vices of their own times.

Condition: Minor soiling and wear to covers. Missing front free endpaper. Very faint marginal toning to contents, inner hinges cracked but firm on cords. Overall a well-preserved copy.
