Notes: B4 (B vier) was the former designation for the poster format commonly used in Switzerland before it was changed to F4. The well-known printer Albin Uldry commissioned these posters from Ralph Schraivogel (*1960) to advertise his print shop. Schraivogel is one of the best-known poster designers in Switzerland. He has received several awards for his work and has been exhibited in various countries. His work is in the permanent collection of many museums, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Until the turn of the millennium, his posters were created without the aid of a computer; they were the result of a patient and protracted process, and were based on countless sketches. This poster was commissioned by Schraivogel’s preferred poster printer and is quite rare to find.
