Condition: An original poster in very good condition. With some faint creases and slight signs of use. Otherwise, however, no noteworthy damage or at most slight signs of use commensurate with age. Not mounted.

Notes: Ruben Vasilyevich Suryaninov (*1930) graduated from the Latvian SSR Academy of Arts in 1956. Immediately after graduating, he began designing film posters and socio-political posters for state poster publishers. Since 1961, Suryaninov was a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. In 1992 he received the Honoured Artist of the RSFSR award and was awarded a gold medal at the International Competition for Health Posters in Bolgna, Italy. From the 1990s onwards, he devoted himself mainly to illustrating children’s books.
